Trilegal advised The Tata Power Company Limited on its regulatory issues

The Maharashtra State Load Dispatch Centre had consistently refused to schedule power from the generating stations of The Tata Power Company Ltd to its distribution business in Mumbai. The refusal of such scheduling by the MSLDC was challenged before the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission, which upheld the actions of the MSLDC in view of the directions issued by GoM. The MERC decision was challenged before the Appellate Tribunal for Electricity. The ATE set aside the order of MERC and MSLDC observing that MSLDC being an autonomous body was not bound by the Memorandum. The team was led by Sitesh Mukherjee (Partner), Sakya Singha Chaudhuri, Mandakini Ghosh.
