Sudhir Bassi has joined the Firm as an Executive Director in the Capital Markets Practice in Mumbai.

Sudhir is an experienced capital markets professional with more than 20 years of experience and has been closely associated with the evolution of the Indian securities market regulatory framework. He has a deep understanding of the prevailing regulatory framework, enjoys an excellent relationship with the regulators and capital market intermediaries. He has also been extensively involved in conceptualizing new processes (e.g. shelf prospectus, book building, exchangeable bonds, index bonds, conditional IPOs), executing first time transactions, deal structuring, team building, consensus building, and project management.

Sudhir has actively participated in various discussions with SEBI for development of regulations and has worked with stock exchanges for developing OFS bidding platform. Sudhir has also been a guest speaker at various investor awareness programmes organised by SEBI and BSE. With his wide ranging experience and considerable specialisation, Sudhir is expected to play a key role in the Firm’s Capital Market practice and significantly strengthen the Firm’s capabilities in this practice area.
