The firm had one more success in the entertainment industry as they advised and represented M/s. NBC Universal Media Distribution Services Pvt. Ltd. an Indian subsidiary of M/s. Universal Studios before the Competition Commission of India, against the allegation of formation of a cartel amongst the top Hollywood studios. M/s. Universal Studios had been accused of entering into anti-competitive agreements, and thereby, depriving the local distributors of fair business and trading activities. The team comprising of Associate Partner Raja Ratan Bhura and Senior Associate Mr. Rajdeep Lahiri made vehement objections to the serious allegations at the hearing, attended by other eminent luminaries of the legal fraternity. Considering the arguments placed, the Bench rejected the Information keeping in view the future of the entertainment sector in India.
