S. Jalan & Company represented Simplex Infrastructures Limited before the High Court at Calcutta in securing release of a deposit of INR 51.6 Million made by CPWD. Such sum was deposited by CPWD pursuant to an arbitral award made in favour of Simplex Infrastructures Limited. Though CPWD had challenged such award before the High Court at Calcutta and then before the Supreme Court of India, such challenge could not be sustained by CPWD. The team at S.
