I was overwhelmed to read your Education Special section titled “Emerging Practice Areas” in the February 2011 edition. You have highlighted key legal issues vis-à-vis civil aviation and sports which have raised the need for keeping a check on competitiveness and formal policies and procedures.
I regularly subscribe to your magazine Lex Witness. It is commendable that through this source you not only impart legal knowledge on significant topics, but also give an array of new thoughts and its impact on the legal community.
It was a remarkable change that I witnessed in your magazine’s February edition. The Cover Story titled “Reviewing the Indian Evidence Act, 1872” which appeared in the February edition was noteworthy. As a number of the lawyers are unaware of the Law Commission’s 185th report, it was a good informative source touching upon the future changes on the subject.
I am a regular reader of your magazine Lex Witness. It is resounding that you have included “Legal Trivia” in your publication, which adds a tint of legal humour with quotes to pass a message to our legal fraternity in a professional manner.
It is good that your magazine Lex Witness has touched upon the problems faced by the middle class in regards to housing. Your Overview titled “Housing for the Great Middle Class – Need for Laws” in the February edition was an important initiative, as a lot needs to be done by the government in providing affordable housing with regulatory perspective.
Your coverage of the recent judgments from the Supreme Court and different High Courts in the “Capsules” section and the “Snippets” section gives a unique combination of legal issues in terms of court pronouncements and the latest update from the corporate world in business arena.
