It is heartening to know that India's first Magazine on legal and corporate affairs, "Witness" is being launched in Bangalore. There is a great need to educate the people about the new Laws that are enacted from time to time, about the important decisions of the Supreme Court and the High Courts explaining the scope and ambit of different laws enacted for the benefit of the people. I am happy that the felt need is being fulfilled by the publication of "Witness". The impressive Board of eminent Editors gives confidence that high professional standards would be maintained. This journal would be of great interest to the lawyers, judges, academician, legislators and the general public. I heartily welcome this journal and wish it all success.
