Reader’s Feedback – April 2014

Reader’s Feedback – April 2014

I appreciate that WITNESS covers the Indian market, as for international updates we have lot many portals to refer to. I feel coverage of IP Issues are less as compared to corporate laws. But I must say the coverage of Companies Bill passed in September Issue was commendable. In 2-3 pages, I got the reference of all the major amendments happened. also cover the regulatory issues in the pharma industry and the linkage between pharma regulatory and patent. Also, include case laws to it.

WITNESS is a compact and a comprehensive magazine that gives you the insights on current legal topics. The counsel corner and the trivia sections are indeed interesting reads. I would like to see a section on analysis being made by legal experts on various Court judgements. I wish the editor and the team at WITNESS, all the best in their future endeavours.

WITNESS is well edited and presented magazine. in January Issue on “Vishaka Guidelines” and March Issue Cover Story focusing on “Diageo-USL Regulatory Scrutiny” were well written. I feel some more judgements pronounced by Supreme Court can be covered. You can also start a small section on a regular basis which can cover updates on New Companies Act. A dedicated half a page column shall be of more help to readers for a quick glance over the new updates.

I would recommend a more detailed representation on the New Companies Act, this will be useful for all readers. I am happy with the overall quality of the magazine and wish to follow the forthcoming issues as well.

I am overall happy with the magazine, would just like to mention at times, I don’t receive a few issues. Please check on the timely delivery. I see lot of corporate issues covered but still would recommend more in depth analysis of it. You can cover the New Companies Act in one of your upcoming issues.

I like reading WITNESS. The Story on “The Gutthi Controversy” covered in January Issue was an intersting piece to read. Being a national magazine, the issues covered should be more of national importance. Issues like Sahara vs. SEBI Story, Supreme Court Statement on Adhaar Card etc. are issues of national importance can be considered in future issues. Business legal issues with major corporate houses involved like Reliance Gas Controversy should also be covered.

I WITNESS is a very informative magazine. The updated content satiates the curious legal professionals. The coverage within the magazine has a much diversified approach. The content is not restricted to any particular industry or sector; it has a holistic approach to Acts & Laws passed. The Snippets & Capsules featuring the Supreme Court & High Court Judgements and case laws helps the reader to be more updated. Overall WITNESS is friend cum guide who helps in day to day e function of the legal professional. The updates on the events keep us abreast of the forthcoming conferences. I attended WITNESS Summit last year which was 2nd Annual Pharma Legal & Compliance Summit. It was a good knowledge sharing platform and I learned a lot. I look forward to the next edition this year. I would suggest, in spite of Sudoku you can have legal crosswords which is rare to find.
