Readers’ Feedback – April 2010

We are glad to be associated with Lex Witness for our projects catering to Legal Fraternity and the association has truly been a rewarding one. They have played an instrumental role in the success of Standard Board’s Annual Conference on EPC Contracts for Legal and Taxation Professional. I wish Lex Witness a huge success in years to come and hope they will continue to serve the Legal Fraternity and will also reach the common man at large in terms of legal information and updates.

I have gone through the Witness magazine vol. 1, issue 6, Jan10. I'm really impressed by the data you have provided. I love to be a regular reader of this magazine on legal and corporate affairs. I have a query over the write-ups in the Magazine that is - from where I could get the detail information about the Landmark Judgments as well as the schemes as there's no citation of such judgments and schemes were mentioned, which will make the reading much useful and can give the returns too.

First and foremost I take this opportunity to congratulate the entire team of "Lex WITNESS", especially to Mr PBA Srinivasan Sir as it is a great endeavour from the Editor-in-Chief to bring out such a wonderful magazine for the entire legal and corporate fraternity. I had gone through the first issue of the magazine in which I found the cover story "Mediation Cells" very interesting and informative and much needed in the present scenario for the speedy disposal of pending cases piled up in various Courts. Moreover, it is a new avenue for the legal professionals. Wish you all the success for "Lex WITNESS" and its team in the time to come!!

I feel that the Indian legal system needs some overhauling. The rate of cases pending in India is perhaps the highest in the world today. Why is this? The administration of justice needs some serious, nononsense people who can execute justice. I think there is too much leniency exercised by the Judges. I think in the light of all this, Witness is a refreshing magazine with fresh and strong voice for justice. It will go a long way, if it sticks to non-compromise.

Lex Witness is a pioneer in the field of legal literature. I like the diversity of issues dealt with in each and every edition of the magazine. Keep the good work up. However, I strongly feel and request the editorial team to cover some stories related with IPR issues wherein agreat deal of development has taken place.

I would like to congratulate the editorial team for coming out with such a wonderful package of articles. There is hardly any topic of law that has not been appeared in the canvas of Lex Witness. I have been a regular reader of the magazine, follow it religiously. I like your special series on Education a lot. In your last issue you came out with this excellent article that gives crystal clear picture of what a 3 year law course entails and what a 5 year one. I would appreciate if you introduce a column wherein some expert answers questions of readers about a pre-selected topic.
