Lex Witness gets into a conversation over a coffee with Namrata Trivedi, Managing Partner, Raval Trivedi & Associates and unveils how a firm traverses its existence from one century to another with legal technology as one of its key pillars which has proved to be an asset in these times of Covid-19. Raval & Trivedi Associates was established in 2015 as a full-service law firm taking ahead knowledge of more than 50 Years of success stories at R.J. Raval Associates. The foundation was laid by R.J. Raval Associates; a complete litigation firm that was founded by a stalwart lawyer Mr. Ramesh Raval who began his career in the 1960s in the City Civil Court of Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

With over three decades of experience, he successfully marked his presence in India and then he shifted to the United States where he specialized in Immigration Law and started practicing it under the Umbrella of Indo-US Legal Services.

To date, he remains a key link between India and the United States. His legacy was carried forward by Mr. Maulin Raval since 1985 that further strengthened the resources in the firm and went further up the Hierarchy to Address Litigation at all Levels in India such as All-State High Courts, Tribunals and The Supreme Court of India. His commendable work benchmarks got him an elevation as recently as 2019 when he got designated as a Senior Advocate at the High Court of Gujarat thereafter practicing Independently.

He has passed on the baton to his daughter Namrata who is the thirdgeneration lawyer in the family. Namrata who completed her Law and had also pursued her Masters in Pharmaceutical Technology from The Kings College, London, UK, heads the division of Intellectual property law with over 10 years of experience in the field.

Her involvement in the firm brought in an all-new dimension to the firm’s approach towards mapping its future in the legal fraternity of the country. Over and above the already existing forte in litigation, Namrata introduced a nonlitigation fabric to the firm in the form of a full spectrum of Corporate Law and Intellectual Property Rights.

In 2015 the Capacity was enough to merge R.J. Raval Associates into a larger umbrella called Raval & Trivedi Associates, which has ever since been foraying into legal advisory as a full-service law firm.

With Namrata being the Managing Partner taking the family vision ahead, Niti Raval shoulders her in the firm by bringing in her expertise in legal aspects of Real Estate Laws, Immovable Property Documentation, Deeds, etc. She also heads the pro-bono practice and Legal Counselling Wing of the Firm.

The culture at the firm is to be transparent; lead the Industry by engaging much beyond what law firms typically do. They aim to be icons of change, set benchmarks of integrity and pace up innovation every next moment.
