Maneesha Dhir Conferred with ‘The Woman Lawyer of the Year’ Award

Maneesha Dhir, Managing Partner, Dhir & Dhir Associates and Co-Chair of IWIRC India was awarded ‘The Woman Lawyer of the Year’ by Public Diplomacy Forum, an organization that promotes knowledge, literary festivals, not-for-profit events.

The Chief Guest of the evening was Dr. Shashi Tharoor who is an Indian politician, writer and a former international diplomat who is currently serving as Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, since 2009.

Public Diplomacy Forum celebrated the indomitable spirit, courage and entrepreneurship potential of the new generation of India women – a true ‘Ashtabhuha’ juggling work, family, personal growth with grace, finesse and panache, unique to the Indian woman of today.

Other Guests of Honour were H.E. Daniel Chuburu, Ambassador of Argentine and Fedor Rosovsky, Director, Russian Centre of Science & Culture. This year Public Diplomacy Forum felicitated women achievers from various walks of life who have inspired, motivated and empowered women through their achievements. The event was commemorated in the presence of celebrities, UN delegates, Embassy Heads, Select Diplomats, leading entrepreneurs, along with esteemed media representatives at the Le Meridien Hotel, New Delhi.

It is an honour to receive an award from such a prestigious organization who are doing great work towards empowering women. Empowerment of women is necessary for the very development of our society as it improves both the quality and quantity of human resource and it should be a continuous process. We must celebrate every day as a Women’s Day and do our bit to ensure that the future of all women is bright, safe, rewarding and equal as an equal world is truly an enabled world.
