Majmudar & Partners represented Cigna Corporation, Inc., one of the largest healthcare insurance and ancillary services providers in the US, in respect of the proposed increase in stake in its insurance joint venture in India, Cigna TTK Health Insurance Company Limited (CignaTTK), from 26% to 49%, and in respect of the proposed replacement of TTK Group, an Indian conglomerate, by the Manipal Education and Medical Group as the Indian joint venture partner of Cigna Corporation. The proposed transactions are subject to the approval of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India.
