In relation to a matter involving the Officer of Legal Metrology, Mumbai who had ceased certain products of 3M, for not disclosing an email id for consumer complaints, thereby allegedly violating Rule 6 (2) of the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 2011. A criminal complaint was filed against 3M and its entire board of directors. Advised 3M and filed an application seeking quashing and setting aside of the impugned complaint and order of issuance of summons. The Hon’ble Bombay High Court was pleased to quash and set aside the impugned complaint and entire criminal proceedings.
