Khaitan& Co. advised Hutchison 3 Global Services Holdings Ltd, Mauritius (“H3G”) on the sale of its 100% (one hundred percent) stake in Hutchison Global Services Private Limited (“HGS”) to Tech Mahindra Limited. HWL is among the largest companies listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. HWL has six core businesses – ports and related services, property and hotels, retail, infrastructure, energy and telecommunications. HGS is one of India’s largest international captive telecom BPOs. In the BPO industry, it remains one of the leading and reputed contact centres. The value of the deal was USD 87 million approximately and the team comprised of Partners HaigreveKhaitan and Vaishali Sharma along with DakshaBaxi, Executive Director, Direct Tax and Dinesh Agrawal, Executive Director, Indirect Tax.
