Khaitan & Co. advised DCBL in relation to the acquisition of Jaiprakash Associates Limited’s (“JAL”) 74% stake in BoJCL for USD 141 million approximately. Also advised DCBL in relation to the clinker sale arrangements between JAL and BoJCL.BoJCL belongs to the Jaypee group and is engaged in manufacturing of cement with its manufacturing facility located in Bokaro. The approximate consideration of the transaction was USD 141 million. The transaction was led by Bharat Anand.
