JSA advised Orb Energy Private Limited on project implementation and project finance of USD 20 million for its 25 MW Solar PV Park in Karnataka

JSA represented Orb Energy Private Limited (“Orb Energy”) on project implementation issues, project documents and project finance in relation to its ground mounted 25 MW Solar PV Park in Arsikere, Karnataka. The JSA team advised on the overall transaction including advise on setting-up of the solar park and drafting, reviewing and finalising the project documents, viz., the EPC Agreements, Installation and Construction Agreements, Operation and Maintenance Agreements, Common Facilities Agreement and Credit Facility Agreements. JSA team also advised on the project financing in relation to a USD 20 million follow-on loan availed by Orb Energy from United States International Development Finance Corporation (DFC).

Orb Energy is a private company and is rapidly expanding its international operations. It is operational in India since 2006 with the mission to make solar energy affordable, available, and hassle-free. Orb Energy is a vertically integrated provider of solar energy solutions and manufactures its own range of solar panels, design, installs and services solar systems. Orb Energy also provides finance to the small to medium scale enterprises. Orb Energy has sold more than 160,000 solar systems, with cumulative installations of more than 110MW of rooftop solar systems and has installed industrial-scale solar water heating systems globally.
