Evalueserve forms JV with Sony & Hazuki International

Global research and analytics company Evalueserve has set up a joint venture with Sony Corporation and Hazuki International for offering intellectual property related services.

The JV, IP Valueserve, will offer Japanese corporates innovative and highly efficient new process of filing and prosecuting patents in the US, Evalueserve said in a statement.

Hazuki International will be responsible for translation, legal review, and filing at the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) through US lawyers.

Evalueserve will be responsible for drafting office action responses in English and checking the quality of English translations. Evalueserve’s in-house legal team advised the company on the joint venture. The team comprised general counsel Iqbal Tahir, senior corporate counsel Kartikay Sharma and deputy corporate counsel Rohan Jain. Tokyo based In-Control Legal Support Services provided Japanese law advice.
