Airports Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA) is a statutory body constituted under the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority of India Act, 2008, (27 of 2008) to regulate, interalia, the tariff and other charges for the aeronautical services rendered at the airports and to monitor performance standards. The firm advised and appeared for AERA in all the appeals, which were disposed of by common judgment dated 15.11.2018 of TDSAT wherein the tribunal has upheld the Tariff Order passed by AERA and on a limited extent remanded the question of 30% of nonaeronautical revenue to be considered as an element for the purposes of calculating Tax through a consultative process in the next control period. On most of the issues decided by AERA in the impugned Tariff Order, the TDSAT has expressed its satisfaction with the manner in which the tasks were undertaken and performed by AERA.
