The firm acted as the Lenders’ Legal Counsel to consortium of lenders led by L&T Infrastructure Finance Company Limited for the financial assistance of upto INR 1075.90 Million to Dewas Water Projects Works Private Limited (“Borrower”), for the purposes of planning, design, engineering, financing, procurement, construction, restructuring, establishment of systems, operations and maintenance of water supply scheme for 23 MLD in the State of Madhya Pradesh (“Project”).

Girish Rawat, Partner led the firm’s banking and project finance team on the above transaction. The other team members included Sakshi Puliani, Principal Associate, Varun Chauhan, Associate and Krishan Gopal Agrawal, Associate. The scope of work included conducting due diligence of the Borrower, its promoters and project documents, drafting of the financing and security documents vis-à-vis the Concession Agreement and issuing opinion on the legal issues.
