The Firm has advised as the Lenders’ Legal Counsel to Power Finance Corporation Limited (“PFC”) for the financial assistance aggregating up to INR 859.23 Crore sanctioned by it to subsidiary companies of ACME Solar Holdings Private Limited for setting up of 40 MW Solar PV Power Project by each SPV in the State of Karnataka to enable supply of solar power for a period of 25 years to the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited. The subsidiary companies include Acme Babadham Solar Power Private Limited, Acme Kaithal Solar Power Private Limited, Acme Koppal Solar Energy Private Limited and Acme Vijayapura Solar Energy Private Limited. Girish Rawat, Partner led the Firm’s Banking and Project Finance team on the above transaction. The other team members included Sakshi Puliani, Senior Associate, Varun Chauhan and Avlokita Kanwar, Associate. The scope of work included drafting, negotiating and finalizing of financing and security documents, conducting legal due diligence on the borrower, its promoters and project documents, title search of the properties proposed to be charged for the facility, attending to the conferences/meetings with the lenders/borrower and issuing opinions on the legal issues.
