The firm has acted as the Domestic Legal Counsel to Power Finance Corporation Limited for syndicated loan of USD 300 Million availed by Power Finance Corporation Limited from a consortium of lenders inter alia State Bank of India, Hong Kong, Mizuho Bank, Ltd., Singapore Branch and Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd., Singapore Branch, for the purpose on-lending to its borrowers in the power sector in Indian Rupee and/or foreign currency in connection with its business objectives.

Girish Rawat, Partner led the above transaction along with team member Sakshi Puliani, Principal Associate. The scope of work included conducting due diligence of the PFC, reviewing, advisory and finalizing the legal documentation from Indian law perspective, participating in the discussions held with various agencies including lead arrangers, foreign legal counsel, etc. and providing legal opinions on the issues relation to the above borrowing.
