AZB & Partners represented Global Foundries U.S. Inc. in preparing the notification to the Competition Commission of India and securing the approval.

The deal involved the acquisition of certain assets and liabilities of IBM Corporation’s micro-electronic business pursuant to a master transaction agreement dated 18 October, 2014.

The notification to the Competition Commission of India was made on 17 November 2014. The Commission approved the transaction on 23 December, 2014.
