Firm advised on the acquisition of 40% equity stake by Voltas in the JV formed with Highly International (Hong Kong) Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of Shanghai Highly (Group) Co., Ltd., for setting up an inverter compressor manufacturing facility in India. Voltas Limited is an affiliate of Tata Sons Private Limited. Highly International (Hong Kong) Limited is a whollygroup/group owned subsidiary of Shanghai Highly (Group) Company Limited. Total consideration of the transaction was for INR 2.5 Bn / USD 32 Mn. Concerned Partners involved in the advisory were Bahram N. Vakil and Qais Jamal.
