AZB & Partners advised The Walt Disney Company; Star India Private Limited & Star Televisions Private Limited in the acquisition by Reliance Industries Limited (RIL); Viacom 18 Media Private Limited (Viacom 18) (a joint venture between RIL and Bodhi Tree Systems); Digital18 Media Limited. The CCI approved the deal on August 27, 2024. This merger makes the combined entity India’s largest entertainment conglomerate with a portfolio of 120 channels.

Total Consideration is for (approx) USD 4.52 Bn/ INR 374 Bn.
