Readers’ Feedback – April 2012

Readers’ Feedback – April 2012

Being a 4th generation lawyer, I must congratulate team WITNESS for bringing such a wonderful magazine with interesting and useful content. Current issues, legal problems, touching various branches of law are some of the specialties of the magazine. However, I find that the legal practice at grass root level and necessity of bringing new methods to be adopted by litigation lawyers, somehow, is not totally addressed, unless it is against your magazine policy. I would appreciate if articles covering such day-to-day necessities of law practitioners at grass root level are also addressed. My best wishes expecting even better issues in times to come.

I recently came across Lex Witness at a seminar where I believe you were a sponsor. I received a complimentary issue and pretty much enjoyed browsing through. And good luck to you and the team for the initiative.

Witness magazine is very informative and the articles are good, however, you should provide more real estate articles and court Judgments in brief for quick updation as also discussed by the experts for their views. Keep it up.

Witness is an excellent magazine; I really liked the articles on corporate law & matrimonial disputes. Each & every article is very informative. It really takes a lot of effort & research to bring new topics, thank you & keep it up team Witness.

Yes, the “Sleeker, Sharper, Simpler” format looks good and more appealing, it is more readable. ‘Buzz Square’ is very useful for ‘non legal’ people like me; Coffee Break is nice but I wish you won’t colour alternate squares in ‘Sudoku’ which makes the writing less legible and please also use slightly tougher ones. My favourite of course is the last page “Trivia”. I am once again attaching a piece that you may like for this page! Separately I will also write my detailed comments on the excellent article on “FDI in multi brand retailing”. Thoroughly enjoyed reading this one and the commentary on the ‘Times Now’ judgement.

I always enjoy reading the thought provoking, latest, informative articles in the magazine. Although several laws including new enactments might not be relevant for a reader like me, but it is always good to stay updated. I also enjoy going through legal capsules and snippets.

“Illegal Repossession" by Mr. Rahul Sundaram in January, 2012 Issue raised very important issues. Due process of Law needs to be defined once again for repossession of vehicles by the bankers. Use of force for repossession is alarming the theory of Natural justice. Legal Capsules and Snippets are informative and interesting. The Column “Opinion Matters" can be a regular column instead of bimonthly.

Being a regular reader of Lex Witness the significance of the same cannot be over exaggerated. It has always been a credible source for me to refer to, for several legal issues and has also been recommended by leading legal personalities of time. So to have a subscriber of Lex Witness would be an asset to oneself and a blessing in disguise to their clients as well.
