Trilegal acted as lenders’ legal counsel to a consortium of 25 banks and financial institution (CDR Lenders) in relation to restructuring their respective debt exposures to Hindustan Construction Company Limited (Borrower) aggregating approximately INR 8300.0 Crores (including both rupee denominated and foreign currency loans), commercial paper, debt securities etc.) in the corporate debt restructuring (CDR) forum together with additional funding of upto INR 1500.0 Crores. Advising the CDR Lenders on structuring the security package and aligning it with the restructuring proposal. Also, Trilegal played an important role in drafting, negotiating and finalizing the transaction documents in relation the restructuring process.
