The Amarchand Mangaldas Team led by Mumbai based Finance & DCM Partner Niloufer Lam acted as the legal advisers to Power Grid Corporation of India Limited as to Indian law in connection with the Issue of U.S.$500,000,000 3.875 per cent notes due 2023 pursuant to Regulations of the United States Securities Act of 1933.

The Issue was oversubscribed 19 times and achieved the lowest year-to-maturity (at 4.003 per cent) and coupon of 3.875 per cent and the highest over-subscription for a 10-year USD bond issuance by any domestic issuer. The ILC to Joint Lead Managers and Trustee as to English law was Allen & Overy.

The Joint Lead Managers for this Issue were Barclays Bank Plc, Standard Chartered Bank and The Royal Bank of Scotland plc whereas The Bank of New York Mellon, London Branch acted as the Trustee.
