AZB & Partners advises Tata Power Company Limited in the acquisition of 40 % of Adjaristqali Netherlands BV (“ABV”), which has a wholly owned subsidiary in Georgia, named Adjaristqali Georgia LLC (“AGL”), which is undertaking a 400 MW hydro power project. Firm performed Performed due diligence on ABV and AGL, drafting and negotiations of the transaction documents (with inputs from Dutch, Georgian and English counsel). The total project cost is approximately USD 700 million (approximately INR 98.4 billion). Tata Power through its subsidiaries acquired a 40% stake i.e approximately USD 280 million (approximately INR 39.36 billion).
