Seth Dua & Associates has successfully advised Tractebel Engineering, the consulting arm of French energy major GDF Suez in the acquisition of Chennai based engineering consulting company – Cethar Consulting Engineers Limited.

The acquisition is of strategic importance to GDF, which is keen to expand its presence in India’s energy sector, with special focus on the south Indian states. Cethar Consulting provides consultancy services for power, oil and gas sectors. This acquisition makes Tractebel Engineering a key consulting player in thermal power sector in India and strongly enhances the portfolio of consulting offerings, which include gas pipelines, LNG, hydro power and transmission and distribution sectors.
