Khaitan & Co. advised Religare Credit Advisors LLP in relation to setting up of the Religare Credit Opportunities Fund, a scheme of Religare Credit Investments Trust which is registered with SEBI as Category II Alternative Investment Fund having a target corpus of INR 1000 crores. The Fund seeks to invest in debt securities issued by companies where the debt securities would be structured to meet the specific funding needs of the company and generate superior absolute risk-adjusted returns for the Fund. Khaitan & Co. acted as fund counsels to Religare and assisted them in the structuring, preparation of fund documentation and obtaining of registration as a Category II AIF. The transaction was led by Siddharth Shah, Bijal Ajinkya.
