AZB & Partners advised Standard Chartered Financial Holdings and its affiliates in acquisition of a significant stake by SCPE in the power transmission business of Sterlite Technologies Limited (STL) which is being held by the Target. Firm advised SCPE (and its affiliates), in relation to all aspects of the transaction, including structuring of the transaction, drafting and negotiation of the transaction documents and conducting due diligence of the Target and its subsidiaries.

Total consideration for the deal was for approx. INR 5 billion (approx. USD 84 million). Concerned Partner & Associates involved were Darshika Kothari, VaidhyanadhanIyer, Rinki Ganguli.
