S.K. Singhi and Co., Advocates, Kolkata have been appointed as Advocates for the forthcoming project of development of “Innovative Township” by “Forum Group”, a leading real estate player in the country.

S.K. Singhi and Co. advised “Forum” since conceptualization of the project to interim permission, legal and statutory framework of compliances, Taxation, Corporate Laws and other related aspects of the township. It is the first Township ever sanctioned in the State of West Bengal to any real estate developer. The said Township is to come up on an area of 236 acres approximately and the development interalia includes Education Hub, Sports and Leisure Complexes as the theme based activities of township, apart from housing and infrastructure development, retail, commercial, shopping complex, entertainment hub, hotel, hospital, clinical activities, golf course, post office, police station and whole lot of developmental activities of a world class township. The project entails an investment of approximately ` 10,000 crores (USD 1.59 Billion approximately) in phases and is likely to generate employment both direct and indirect to approximately 28500 persons.
