FreeCharge is India’s leading mobile commerce platform where users can pay their mobile, DTH and utility payments across most major operators including Vodafone, Airtel, Loop, Reliance, Idea, DOCOMO, Tata Indicom, S-Tel, Aircel, BSNL and more.

The deal involved a 100% acquisition by the Snapdeal of the Target from the shareholders of the Freecharge. Additionally, the Client also received fresh investments from certain investors including Sequoia which happens to be an erstwhile shareholder in the Target.

This is the largest transaction in terms of deal value in the ecommerce space.
