AZB & Partners advised Havells on in its divestment/ sale of 80% stake in (i) Sylvania Group companies (involving approximately 52 subsidiaries mainly across Europe and South America) and (ii) Havells Exim Limited (Hong Kong based company); to Shanghai Feilo Acoustics Co. Ltd., a Chinese state owned enterprise (Feilo). Feilo acquired 80% of the shareholding of Sylvania and Havells Exim for an aggregate consideration of approximately ₹ 1,092 crores. Sylvania Group companies are engaged in the business of lighting and other electrical goods. Hardeep Sachdeva, Senior Partner along with Priyamvada Shenoy, Senior Associate led the transaction for Havells with closing support from Devina and Srishti, Associates at AZB & Partners.
