Zaiwalla & Co. have been appointed by Syndicate Bank of India to advise the bank and settle documentation for the purpose of a multimillion dollar bank to bank loan. Zaiwalla & Co have also received instructions from individual clients living in the UK who are of non-British origin, to advise and take action on their behalf in cases where the UK banks have unexpectedly terminated their account on the basis that they are high risk. The firm has been assessing the lawfulness of such action and advising these individuals or the merits of initiating a claim against the banks on grounds of race discrimination under the Equality Act 2010.
