The Firm is advising and representing the Controller of Certifying Authority (“CCA”) before Madras High Court in T Ramesh vs. J. Jayakrishnan and Others. In the said Petition, the Petitioner has alleged that his forged Digital Signatures were used by Respondent Nos. 1 and 2 and he wants the CCA, who is arrayed as Respondent No. 3 to submit a report on the misuse of the alleged forged Digital Signature Certificate and also to produce the same before the Court. The CCA has informed the Madras High Court that it has not issued the alleged forged Digital Signature in the question, as it is licensing authority of the Certifying Authorities, who issue Digital Signatures. The CCA has also informed that after Section 20 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 (“IT Act”), has been omitted by the Amendment Act, 2008 w.e.f. 27.10.2009, CCA ceases to act as repository of all the Digital Signature Certificates issued under the IT Act. Thus, CCA has prayed for discharge from the proceedings, as it is not a necessary party
