The firm acted as the lenders’ legal counsel to a consortium of lenders led by L&T Infrastructure Finance Company Limited (“L&T Infra”) for financial assistance of up to INR 255.00 Cr sanctioned by it to Orange Agar Wind Power Private Limited, for the purpose of setting up a 40 MW green field wind power project at Maliya, District Morbi, Gujarat. Girish Rawat, Partner, led the firm’s Banking and Project Finance team on the above transaction. Girish was assisted by Shyamoleena Sarkar, Senior Associate and Varun Chauhan, Associate. The scope of work included drafting of financing and security documents, conducting due diligence on the borrower, its promoters and project documents, and issuing opinions on the legal issues.
