Zaiwalla & Co was successful in obtaining a strike out of order in a substantial claim filed by a Russian oligarch against Mr Dobrovinsky, a very influential lawyer from Russia. The Claimant filed a claim for damages for perceived misrepresentation, breach of contract and seeking damages for over USD 350 million. The firm also filed a claim for damages of over US Dollar 1.6 billion in the European Union Court on behalf of Bank Tejarat, second largest private Bank of Iran against the EU Council.
