The ITECH Law 2017 Edition – An Overview

The 2017 ITechLaw International India Conference in New Delhi was a great success with nearly 150 attendees from around the world. The speakers on all 15 sessions provided thought provoking presentations and then engaged the audience in lively discussions around the benefits and challenges to new innovations and the importance of lawyers to keep pace with the developments. Sessions covered things happening now, like Pokemon Go, and things happening in the future, like Microsoft developing glasses that can help blind individuals experience what’s going on around them.

A group of 30 In-House Counsel members gathered over breakfast to discuss some of their unique challenges, and I-WIN, the women’s networking group, discussed balancing personal and professional life. The conference left attendees thinking about the future of smart cities, geospatial politics, hacking, and autonomous cars. Additionally, attendees met new colleagues and enjoyed exceptional networking events like the Gala Dinner. The sponsors included Dentons, Gocke, Osborne Clarke, Seyfarth Shaw, Sheppard Mullin, Microsoft, Phoenix Legal, Baker McKenzie, Greenberg Traurig, Franklin, Infosys, IIFL Wealth & Asset Management. O’Melveny, PSA, RNA and TMT Law Practice.

The ITechLaw India conference highlights the most current topics in technology law, and returns each year in late January or early February. The 2018 International India conference will be in Bangalore, India, and we hope to see you there! For more details, visit www.itechlaw.org/conferences
