Readers’ Feedback – October 2019

The Lex Witness magazine is my go-to for all industry updates, meet-ups and events happening over the year in addition to being a guide for all the latest developments in the legal and corporate sector. The Lex Witness team is doing a great job of bringing the legal piers closer by hosting such informative/engaging annual events. Keep it up!

Lex Witness Magazine gives an insight into the industry as well as legal in a crisp and transparent way. It is worth the subscription charge. It captures advertisements and news in an organized manner. The entire team is working well to get the news captured and reach the right audience. Kudos!

The first-ever magazine on legal and corporate affairs- Lex Witness proves to be first or I can say a top-level with respect to its content as well. The topics are well selected and expressed in written articles very effectively by all the authors. The article on Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi regarding the Babri masjid case was very nice and I liked that most. I would suggest that the magazine should cover some study topics like laws and their application part. Because I feel most of the students are unaware of the legal field and opportunities therein. And as the Indian courts are overburdened with cases and judges, we should encourage students to pursue law as a career. All the best for future editions.

It was a remarkable event, and from conception upwards, infused with a creative spirit. It was middlebrow – with so much content packed into just a day! I was delighted to moderate the panel discussion on ‘Content Still Rules the Game’ with some incredible legal eagles and creative minds at The Lex Witness 8th Annual Media, Advertising & Entertainment Legal Summit 2019.
I had an insightful and cogent discussion with Ghanashyam Hegde - General Counsel, Procter & Gamble, KPS Kohli - Partner, Dhir & Dhir Associates, Rajinikandh ARS - Legal Head, BARC, Bhavya Nidhi Sharma - Director, Writer & Creative Producer, Inter-alia, we deliberated upon Misleading, bad, false & comparative advertisements, The Creative Paradox, Consumer Protection Act of 2019, Cultural Politics of Obscenity, Cinematograph(Amendment) Act 2019, Puttaswamy judgment vis-à-vis Right to Privacy/Publicity, Conflict between Artificial Intelligence and Privacy, Cyberturfing and why it needs to be regulated. It’s always interesting to fumble upon a set of views that challenge those previously held by your good self. With its unique niche, it is arguably one of the best conferences in its genre.
